Self-Compassion
I value self-compassion, recognizing that everyone is on their own journey. Together, we'll navigate your challenges with kindness, fostering a nurturing and accepting environment for self-exploration and growth.
Empathy:
At the core of my therapeutic approach is the value of empathy. I believe in the transformative power of understanding and being understood. Through a compassionate and empathetic lens, I aim to create an atmosphere where you feel heard, validated, and supported as we explore the complexities of your experiences.
Psychoeducation:
Empowering my clients with knowledge is at the heart of my practice. I believe in providing psychoeducation to equip individuals with insights, skills, and tools to navigate their unique circumstances and contribute to their overall well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy creating new pieces of art in a pottery studio, listening to music and playing sports. You can usually find me outdoors with my husky camping, hiking, or around a camp fire.
As a lifelong learner, I am committed to ensuring I am proficiently supporting my clients and their needs through ongoing education and learning. I have successfully completed the following:

My therapeutic approach is client centered and trauma-informed. I believe that we all have different paths to healing and my role is to help support you along your journey. Healing looks different for everyone, and with empathy and compassion, I aim to help you find a way forward that works for you.
I bring over 20 years of experience supporting families and children in various capacities including advocacy, psychoeducation, parenting consultations, academic performance, emotional intelligence, developmental stages, learning disabilities, ASD and FASD.
Most recently, the last decade has been spent supporting a northern Cree community where I have primarily focused on working with those with Special Needs, Learning Disabilities and enhancing social-emotional learning and emotional regulation. My experience living, raising a family, and working in the North is why I returned to school to become a certified counsellor. My goal is to help you access your inner strengths while working towards creating the life you envision for yourself.
I have counselled children, adolescents, and adults through a variety of challenges they were facing.

Peaks and Pines acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee and Eeyou Istchee people.
Today, this area remains home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, As settlers, it is crucial that we acknowledge the contributions and historic significance of Indigenous peoples and actively commit to making the promise and challenge of Truth and Reconciliation a reality in our communities. This includes striving for justice for murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls across our country
