It is common to be nervous during your first (or second) session! I hope you acknowledge your bravery and commitment to taking the next step in your healing journey and just know that I will be rooting for you every step of the way!
During your first session, you and your therapist will discuss your presenting concerns (i.e., why have you reached out for counselling services), your counselling goals (what do you hope to see change as a result of coming to therapy), your background (e.g., family, medical, social, etc.), and identify how Peaks and Pines can support your process. You and your therapist will decide on how frequently you will meet (e.g., bi-weekly), which can change as necessary.
We are offering sessions for clients accessing telemental health services. At this time, we are REMOTE THERAPISTS and see clients through a secure, HIPPA approved platform.*
You will receive a link to join the session 30-minutes before your scheduled appointment. You can easily join the session through your phone, tablet or computer.

Peaks and Pines acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee and Eeyou Istchee people.
Today, this area remains home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, As settlers, it is crucial that we acknowledge the contributions and historic significance of Indigenous peoples and actively commit to making the promise and challenge of Truth and Reconciliation a reality in our communities. This includes striving for justice for murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls across our country
